Overview

Why This Matters For Your Brand

A hotel's online reputation influences guest expectations, direct bookings and decisions on platforms such as Google, Tripadvisor and Booking.com. We help independent hotels, serviced-apartment operators and multi-property groups monitor genuine feedback, respond appropriately and challenge reviews only when there is a documented basis under the relevant platform's policies. We do not promise to delete honest criticism or guarantee increases in rankings or bookings.

Evidence-led case review for hotels

We first record the property profile, exact review link, review date, asserted policy breach and whether a prior report was rejected. We then assess lawful, proportionate evidence: a wrong-property reference, a screenshot of prohibited language, a chronology of an extortion demand or relevant internal operational records. We avoid exposing guest booking data or staff information unnecessarily. A booking database mismatch alone is rarely enough to prove a review is fabricated.

How hotel review disputes are handled

Initial eligibility screening: distinguish a potentially enforceable content-policy issue from legitimate complaints about cleanliness, service, pricing or amenities.

Evidence preparation: assemble URLs, exact policy citations, timestamps and a concise account of the objectively verifiable facts.

Permitted reporting: assist the authorised account holder with the appropriate platform report, without false declarations or inappropriate mass flagging.

Follow-up and recording: keep track of decisions and available appeal routes, plus constructive public responses where reviews remain.

Learning: monitor repeat service complaints so that genuine operational problems are addressed rather than hidden.

Review management for hotel groups and multiple locations

Hotel portfolios need individual property records, country-specific procedures, consistent branding and accountable reporting. We can organise reviews by property and platform, prioritise the strongest policy concerns, track moderation decisions and prepare monthly reporting on cases, response times and recurring complaint themes. The client retains oversight of responses and of any approval required for submissions.

Improve future guest reviews without manipulation

Encourage guests to share authentic feedback through permitted, neutral requests. Do not offer rewards for positive ratings, selectively solicit only happy guests where platform rules prohibit it, or write testimonials on behalf of guests. A sustainable programme combines service recovery, staff training, appropriately timed requests and balanced replies to complaints.

Hotel reputation management versus broader hospitality services

We handle both property-specific cases and wider hospitality reputation projects. For restaurants, cafes and event venues see hospitality reputation management. For press articles and web search results rather than platform reviews, see removing negative content from Google Search and search-result suppression.

What an initial hotel review assessment covers

Tell us the property or group name, the affected profiles, the number of disputed reviews, links to the reviews, the suspected content-rule breaches and whether the platform has already responded. We can then distinguish realistic policy reports, suitable public responses and possible ongoing monitoring. Pricing is scoped to the number of properties, channels and the complexity of the evidence; reporting a review to the platform itself is free.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Each platform has different rules. Some reviews may warrant reporting if they contain threats, harassment, spam or impersonation, relate demonstrably to another property, disclose prohibited personal information or otherwise break that platform's current content rules. A poor rating, an unpleasant stay, a booking that was cancelled or a different guest name in the records do not by themselves prove that a review is ineligible.

For Google Business Profiles, we use the platform's published policies and authorised reporting or appeal tools; see our Google review removal service. Tripadvisor and Booking.com have separate help and reporting routes, and the grounds are assessed individually. We verify the applicable rules before recommending a submission rather than assuming a removal route is the same across sites.
