Overview
Why This Matters For Your Brand
Need to challenge a Glassdoor review about your company? Employers may flag reviews that appear to violate Glassdoor's Community Guidelines or Terms of Use. We help HR, people, legal and communications teams distinguish valid reporting grounds from protected employee criticism, assemble defensible evidence and manage the resulting review process. We do not promise that negative staff reviews will disappear, attempt to identify anonymous authors or claim privileged moderation access. The goal is an accurate, evidence-based policy dispute where one is justified.
Examples that may justify a specialist assessment
- 01
Possible impersonation
specific, credible evidence suggesting the review was not authored by someone with the claimed eligible experience, without guessing at an anonymous person's identity.
- 02
Multiple accounts or coordinated inauthentic submissions
document review links, timelines and observable patterns; a cluster of critical reviews alone is not proof of misconduct.
- 03
Protected personal information or harassment
identify the exact text and the relevant policy restriction.
- 04
Clearly unrelated employer or employment claims
record objective reasons why the submission might be ineligible under the review rules.
- 05
Improperly incentivised content
employer or reviewer misconduct can breach Glassdoor's integrity policies, including coerced or paid reviews.
How the Glassdoor review dispute process works
Step 1 — Eligibility review. We inspect the public review and identify the exact guideline potentially breached. We separate employer dissatisfaction from concrete policy concerns.
Step 2 — Evidence dossier. We organise publicly verifiable facts, permissible company records, affected URLs and a concise chronology. We avoid collecting unnecessary staff personal information.
Step 3 — Official report. Glassdoor permits employers to flag a review for a second moderation look. Provide a clear description of the suspected policy breach rather than unsupported allegations about the reviewer.
Step 4 — Decision and response. Glassdoor's moderation team decides whether to retain or remove the contribution. We record the outcome, consider any permitted follow-up and draft an appropriate public employer response where needed.
Glassdoor's employer reporting FAQ explains that flagging triggers a further review and that disagreeable content does not necessarily qualify for removal.
Glassdoor and Indeed: separate review policies
Both platforms publish employer feedback, but do not treat an Indeed company review as if it were a Glassdoor review. Different moderation procedures and evidence requirements apply. We first identify the platform, country and nature of the alleged problem, then use the relevant official route. For Indeed-specific disputes, request an eligibility review rather than submitting a Glassdoor flag.
Enterprise and multi-country employer review management
Large employers may face many reviews covering subsidiaries, offices, recent acquisitions or similarly named companies. We can help establish a central case register recording each company profile, review URL, likely rule, supporting evidence, reporting date, decision and recommended non-removal response. This approach also supports consistent escalation and reputational monitoring without attempting to suppress legitimate employee feedback.
Confidentiality and professional boundaries
Employment feedback can contain sensitive allegations. Our process focuses on the minimum evidence necessary, access controls and factual submissions. If the case involves potential defamation, retaliation, employment law or litigation, the company should involve appropriately qualified legal counsel. Our work does not replace legal advice.
We charge for professional investigation, eligibility triage, evidence organisation, permitted platform reporting support and tracking. There is no pay-to-remove shortcut and no reliable way for an outside agency to guarantee Glassdoor's decision.
Request an employer review assessment
Include the Glassdoor review URL, company profile link, what you believe violates the specific guidelines, previous reports, and the role of the person requesting assistance. Do not email staff files, HR disciplinary records or confidential whistleblower details unless a secure, appropriate process has been agreed.
Request a confidential Glassdoor review assessment. For local consumer reviews, see Google review removal support; for customer review platforms, consider Trustpilot disputes.
Evidence before an employer-review complaint
We respect anonymity and legitimate employee feedback. A Glassdoor report should be tied to an identifiable Community Guidelines concern, not to disagreement with workplace criticism. Read our review-removal policy and evidence methodology before submitting case details.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Glassdoor moderates employer reviews against platform guidelines, including review-integrity rules. Depending on the facts, potentially reportable issues include impersonation, duplicate or inauthentic submissions, multiple accounts used by one person, reviews written on behalf of someone else, prohibited harassment, disclosure of certain personal information or other specific policy violations.
Glassdoor generally permits subjective, critical workplace opinions. A review accusing management of poor communication or describing a negative employment experience is not automatically a policy breach. The company does not ordinarily decide who's right in an ordinary factual disagreement between employer and reviewer.
Review Glassdoor's Community Guidelines and its Review Integrity and Fraud Detection rules for the governing principles.
